My dogs both stop drinking water. They will only drink the water if I mix it with the food. My standard poodle and cockapoo mouth feel sticky and dry. This isn't normal and we have a vet appointment on Friday to get labs done. I have contacted Just Food For Dogs with my concerns. No resolution just yet.

I want to caution anyone watching this video to not think good food will save your dog in the throws of IMHA. My dog was on a great diet of you guessed it, Just Food for Dogs and within one day of not eating was admitted to the emergency, was given all the typical drugs, 4 blood transfusions and did not respond to any of them. We had to say goodbye because the vet said it was just too aggressive. Interestingly, my dogs numbers were similar to Lady's. This disease is mysterious and aggressive. Many dogs survive apparently, but not by eating more nutritious food.

Update-my little Sophie has been on FoodJustForDogs and a daily dose of prednisone since January. We were told 1-6 months to live and she is still alive after 7 months. We also use Suitical clothing to keep her from scratching herself raw. The cancer is progressing but she seems comfortable most days. I’m grateful that you had posted this video and we found out about this food.

Our dog started having seizures 10 hours after receiving his rabies booster. That was 3 years ago. He had them every 9 days to 30 days. We tried CBD. And MCT oil. And Keto diet (Ketona, kibble). Last Sept he had them really bad and vet i was able to get into prescribed phenobarbital. It worked great, but screwed up his liver. Trued Keppra and that has not worked and have added zonismaide. Still having seizures 9 days apart. I read about using magnesium. Starting that now. But i wonder if the just for dogs food would be a good choice, if i could get high protein, low carb carbs

Mine wouldn't touch the renal formula (lamb based) but he loved the hepatic fish based formula or shelf stable chicken (also low p) That is until I signed up for autodelivery and got a large amount of it. Back to NomNom because he would at least eat it, until now. I'll have to do homemade I guess. BTW, JFFD gave me the written recipe when the hepatic formula was sold out everywhere. It's on the website. You can make your own, and buy the supplements JFFD sells to add to the homemade food. I also add Epakitin phosphate binder and Cran-Tri-C urinary & kidney support.

@ marry harrer . I’m so happy for you. My buddy is 12 yrs old and going through IMHA as we speak. I spent $$$ on blood transfusion but it didn’t work as well. Now we are hoping the medication can miracle works. Vet can’t find out what happened and nothing guarantees more blood transfusion will help but she wants to do it again. But I’m sorry I can’t afford it again and again. I love him but I don’t have unlimited financial resources. It hurts me so much when ER Vet trying to use my love and sympathy for my baby to continue with blood transfusion again and again.

STOP with all the vaccines, anti parasite drugs, and pet food, thats what I did with my golden retriever and he completely STOPPED having seizures!! Yes feed natural home made meals along with raw and freeze dried. Study and research the herbs used for cooling a dogs over heated nervous system! Foods and supplements that focus on Cooling the animals system. Foods like duck meat White fish... stay away from chicken.. ect. just research this! it works

Is this a keto or low carb food? I have a tripaw 84lbs 9 year old goldenddodle with osteosarcoma. His front leg got amputated may 28th and he will start chemo tomorrow. He is been eating dr harveys paradigm but is $300 a month cause I still have to add fresh protein of choice to it. So looking for something cheaper and healthy. I have never feed raw to my dog. I cook his protein when I add it to paradigm food. Will this keep my dog in weight ? He has not exercise do to his amputation

Wayyyy too much rice in your food. And not arsenic reduced at all. The added nutrients are synthetic. Too low in protein for most KD dogs. It's not protein that's the enemy, it's the phosphorus. Don't buy this junk. Check out Dr. Judy Morgan and learn to home cook.

Hello, I just tried this recipe for my dog and she loves the taste. For the other comments below, a food scale is absolutely needed to get the measurements right. The only issue that I’ve seen so far is there appears to be some inconsistencies in the recipe presented in the brochure I got at one of your stores verses was presented here. The biggest question is what type of potato is the official recipe for this flavor. Is it a white potato (Yukon Gold) or a russet potato? My research says a russet potato is slightly different then a white potato which is on the brochure but I may be wrong. If you could clarify that be awesome.
